Scripture Memory

I've been challenged to memorize 2 scriptures a month for 2009, so here's my first scripture of the year.

"Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed, than to share plunder with the proud." Prov. 16:19 (NIV)

What about you? What scripture would you like to memorize at the dawn of this new year?

I am taking the challenge also as you know already. It would probably be easier for us to just talk in person than spend all this time posting on our blogs and us being the only people reading it...

I'll take the challenge - perfect timing for me. Do we memorize the same scripture or do I select one of my own? Maybe I should read Beth's blog...

Select my own... got it... (from Beth's blog)...

Here's my first scripture for the New Year...

1 Thes. 5:18
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

I'm still struggling with my first one (which is so easy, I know, and I know it until you ask me) and it's time for a second... I'm using 3x5 cards and working on it...
